Parents And Children Connect, Play And Learn Together At 5toOne Playgroup
Join the 5toOne Playgroup for parents and children aged 0-6 years old (with older siblings also welcome) at the Grow Benzie Event Center. This cooperative playgroup fosters community connections, child development, and parenting support.
At 5toOne, playgroups are child-led, screen-free as much as possible, and centered around building social and emotional skills. Activities, designed with children aged 0-6 in mind, are inclusive and open-ended, promoting a fun and engaging learning environment.
Parents are encouraged to share experiences and information in the parent huddle, help each other, take turns reading a story to the group, and work together to maintain a routine that builds safety and trust. This cooperative approach provides opportunities for parents to build parenting skills and network with each other, while children enjoy playtime.
Run by the Great Start Collaborative, an organization dedicated to ensuring that all children reach their highest potential, 5toOne is more than just a playgroup – it’s an innovative community project that encourages participants to take action to improve the group and the community.
